Presentation of Lifetime Awards
Presentation of the NCHR/NKMR's Diploma of Honour, posthumously,
to Mrs Brita Nordstrom, founder of the Foundation FAMILY CAMPAIGN, for her long-standing commitment, her life's work, to safeguard and protect children's and their families' human rights in Sweden. Brita Nordstrom opened the eyes of the world for the political and social experiments that had been launched in Sweden and the Nordic countries.

Presentation of the
NCHR/NKMR's Diploma of Honour, to Mr Bo Edvardsson, Associate Professor at Örebro University and textbook writer, for his invaluable contributions to critically examine how the social services' staff violate the intentions of the Social Services Act and instead "oppress, humiliate and persecute" the people that they are employed to help and support. In his manuals "Critical investigative methods - concepts, principles and sources of error", Bo Edvardsson has provided the tools that make the work of the social authorities legally secure and scientific. Bo Edvardsson has been supervisor of several thesis students and together with them, he has authored more than 400 research papers in which the work of the social authorities has been subjected to critical scientific scrutiny.

Presentation of the
NCHR/NKMR's Diploma of Honour, to Mr Janne Josefsson, investigative journalist and popular TV-personality at "Mission Review", for his invaluable contributions to critically review the authority-Sweden in general and the social services in particular. On Human Rights Day, December 10, 2002 SVT showed Janne Josefsson's story: "Too stupid" to have children, about Karin, Lasse and their little son Calle in Oskarshamn. The documentary aroused a public outcry in Sweden, but the social workers did not release their prestige: they did not return Calle to his parents. In the case of Louise in Vetlanda, Janne Josefsson achieved a solution for the girl and the case forced
many local politicians to leave their posts. Janne Josefsson was also active in the documentary program, Striptease, where he revealed inter alia, the events surrounding the Frank case in Lerum and the extra activities of many judges.
