Meeting with Harry Belafonte
On March 8, 2003, Harry Belafonte, gave a Concert in
Scandinavium, Gothenburg, Sweden.
Being of Jamaican background and UNICEF goodwill ambassador, the president of the
NCHR/NKMR, Ruby Harrold-Claesson, attorney-at-law and of Jamaican origin, took
the opportunity to inform Harry Belafonte of the Human Rights violations that
are being perpetrated against children and their parents and relatives in the
Nordic countries, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, by the social welfare
authorities in the said countries.
