Children Missing Contact
with Both Biological Parents at Risk
This
article concentrates solely on children in divorced families. Foster children
and orphans are the only children who are deprived of contact with both
biological parents yet, despite the title, no mention is made of foster
children.
The
NCHR presents the article here because it can be extended to the conditions of
foster children. In Sweden and the Nordic countries there are hundreds of cases
where children are being alienated from their parents when they are placed in
state foster care. These children - like the children in divorce cases - often
develop Parental Alienation Syndrome - PAS.
