
Jenny Beltrán

Secretary and appointed Vice President of the NCHR/NKMR
Jenny Beltrán is a lawyer. She pursued
her law studies at the University of Gothenburg: graduation year 2009. During
her student years, she was active in the leadership of the European Law
Students Association (ELSA) www.elsa.org and she was the coordinator for Europe's largest apprenticeship and
exchange program for lawyers, with headquarters in Brussels. Jenny Beltrán was the director for the work of the 38 member
countries.
Jenny Beltrán's involvement in ELSA brought her into contact with various NGOs,
(nongovernmental
organizations) at
the UN in New York, and work with various matters preceeding the establishment of the
International Criminal Court ICC.
Since 2009 she has worked actively with issues concerning the
Rule of Law and the right to a fair trial, in her capacity as Board member in Rättssäkerhetsorganisationen (www.rsorg.se) (The Rule of Law Organization) and now she looks forward
to working with the Board of the NCHR.
